In a large-scale study of over 1,000 children between 3 and 20 years old found family income was correlated with size of the brain which has been linked to the development of cognitive and academic skills. This study is another demonstration of the pernicious effects of poverty and implies that closing the achievement gap in schools will not be completed until income gap has been narrowed.<\/p>\n
