In this paper, Addison makes the argument that performance architecture is a framework that allows someone to assess all features of an organization so that the parts of the system can be aligned to support an innovation.\u00a0 While the examples provided reflect Addison’s experience in the world of business organizations, it is easy to extrapolate to educational systems.\u00a0 For example, if a new reading program is to be implemented across a district, the usual solution is to provide training to those responsible for implementation and stop there.\u00a0 From a performance architecture perspective while training may be necessary it is often not sufficient to assure success.\u00a0 It is necessary to assess all aspects of the system to assure that all of the necessary elements are in place to support implementation.<\/p>\n
