1. Experts are farthest from the kids in need (least informed staff are with the kids the most)
· Implementers are competent in protocol (have skill and knowledge) and can self monitor
· Involvement, input, & buy-in at all levels, provide training and ongoing support and monitoring ( coaching vs “train and hope”), evaluate outcomes and provide ongoing feedback
2. Time and Energy is spent doing things that don’t work.
· Focus on/do interventions that do work (use evidenced based education)
· Identify what works (what is currently working) and decide where you want to be – (fill in gap with evidence based protocol)
3. Typically just a few are good and do it for everyone (decreased sustainability)
· Build capacity of all involved (diffuse expertise)
· Give all input/status (helps sustain good practices)
